Live Music in Healthcare Settings

You can now apply for a Grundtvig grant to register for our training in English European Training Session: Music in Health Settings, which will take place from July 1st-5th, 2013 in Paris.

The European Commission's Lifelong Learning Programme offers the opportunity to apply for a Grundtvig In-Service Training Grant. Anyone involved in adult education can participate in the programme including adult learners, teachers and trainers from a variety of organisations. This training session is registered in the Comenius-Grundtvig Training Database under the reference number FR-2013-414-001. Objectives of the training

• Imagine and understand the place of live music in healthcare settings;
• Explore the musician's practical and theoretical competences necessary to carry out quality musical actions.

Musical interventions will be carried out in Parisian hospitals in paediatrics and geriatrics. A good instrumental or vocal level is required, whatever the musicians' initial training.

Contents

• Methods and approaches of musical actions in healthcare settings (children, teenagers, and elderly people);
• Musical tools (vocal and instrumental repertoires, appropriate instruments, improvisation…);
• Interaction with patients and families, and spatial awareness;
• Partnership with healthcare institutions and care staff;
• Ethical issues.


FEES - Possibility to get a Grundtvig In-Service Training grant for this training session**
€750 for residents of European eligible countries (outside of France)
€900 for residents of France and other countries
