INTERNATIONAL CONTEST of the THEATRICAL POSTER
International Theatrical Festival "Meetings in Odessa" is held annually at the beginning of September in Odessa, Ukraine based on the Odessa Academic Russian Drama Theater, as a festival of Russian Drama Theaters of Ukraine and the countries of the near and far abroad, with participation of professional theatrical collectives, the creative unions, cultural figures and arts, with support of the state, regional and municipal authorities, mass media. Today "Meetings in Odessa" Festival are one of the most prestigious theatrical festivals of the former Soviet Union. Theatrical collectives of Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Austria, Israel, Georgia, Armenia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and many others took part in it. On May, 2009 the international authority of the Odessa Theatrical Festival was confirmed by the Gold medal and the Diploma with the formulation "For consolidation of Russian theaters of the abroad" at producer contest of the International Festival "Diaghilev's seasons: Perm-Petersburg-Paris".
The next (8th) festival "Meetings in Odessa" will be on September 2-10, 2013. The organizing committee of the festival made the decision to carry out the First International contest-exhibition of the theatrical poster. This action will promote strengthening of the international cultural ties, and will serve consolidation and development of the best art traditions of the theatrical poster.

Contest-exhibition will take place in a Museum of the Western and East Art. We invite you to take part in the contest.
